Last month I had the pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting for a transitional housing opening. My husband has been working with the team on their graphics so we were invited to attend along with assemblymen, vp to the mayor and local police deputy chief. It was an inspiring community based support incentive and it is exactly what we need right now to help folks get off the streets and stay off the streets.
I wanted to look as respectable as possible knowing I was going to be around such high ranking officials. I chose my houndstooth dress I made last year that is embellished with hand sewn pearls, thrifted oversized blazer, blouse and matching mask.
