Lace Sweetheart Dress My Re-Wear Style

Lately I have been seeing a lot of youtube videos and tik tok posts about overconsumption. One of the points that is made is about fast fashion and the haul videos that seem to convince people that they need to buy new to stay on trend and shouldn't re-wear clothes they already have. Or that they shouldn't invest in slightly more expensive fashion that will last longer. This trend is exasperated by celebrity culture. As a designer I tend to make to myself fashions on whim, but I have most of all the clothing I have made since I started making clothes over a decade ago.

I believe in re-wearing and remixing already owned fashion. If you have been following this blog for awhile then you know that I have a series called my re-wear style. I still believe in this!

I put together this particular outfit to wear in-store. I always like to dress up on work days. I have worn this dress before by itself (dress post link), but since it is forecasted to be stormy and cold, I paired the lacey sweetheart dress I made with the blouse I made once moving to New England (blouse post link). Its cold here I have been wearing this blouse quit a bit this month! I got the cutest black rose stud earrings from Five Below, the belt is KillStar and the fleece lined bat stockings are from Amazon, sadly.
