Things I'm Loving January 2025
Cant believe it has been a year since I last posted. In that time I have come a cross a lot of things that I would have loved to share but have been so busy with the brand and everyday life that blogging wasn't as accessible as it once was. I have had a passion for blogging for many years and this little blog has been a wonderful outlet for some of my favorite things.
I am going to go back to the old formula of posting on the regular while trying to add a few new things. To start the new year and back to blogging here is this months love it list!
Gothic Life
by
Aurelio Voltiare
I have been a big fan of Voltiare circa Paint It Black and Deady The Teddy. I have followed and blogged about his youtube channel and Gothic Home Making. So of course I had to jump on getting his new book! Highly recommend as a perfect addition to any gothic home library.
The Witches Familiar Runic Oracle
I picked this Oracle deck up at the BlackCraft Cult store in Salma Mass. A beautifully designed deck and works nicely with other divination tools. A bit confusing but thanks to the handy booklet, helps to decipher the pulls.
Vegan Baking
I never fancied myself a baker of any kind. I once made cookies from scratch that never made it into cookies. For the last nine years when ever I did bake, it came from a box or pre made dough. Then I had my daughter and before her 8 month well child check we discovered she had a few allergy, specifically to nuts and egg whites. They cause her to have eczema so we tend to stay away from anything with egg whites and nuts when it comes to her. Sadly that means no store bought or bakery baked goods. Yes there are plenty of alternatives however we are becoming a do it from scratch family. We make a tradition of making holiday cookies with the vegan pre made cookie dough but its not as easy to do with cake mix. For her birthday this year I really wanted her to have a cake. So I finally got the nerve to try baking from scratch, which I tend not to do, and it turned out pretty good. Now I have the itch, watching lots of baking shows helps too.
Peculiar Baking
By
Nick Alcaraz
On the theme of baking when the baker and influencer Nick Alcaraz came out with his book late last year I had to jump on purchasing this peculiar cook book to add to my collection of more gothy cook books! Cant wait to try out some of these recipes and creep up my baking!
Die With Your Boots On
Batty Boots
Now that my family and I live in New England I have been all about visiting places like Sleepy Hollow and Salem Massachusetts. So far we have only been to Sleepy Hollow once and Salem twice. I love Salem as most witchy folks tend to. And being a fashion lover I came across Die With Your Boots on thanks to the brand FoxBlood. Both me and my husband fell in love with these batty boots and I had to get them! I will be making a skirt to match!
